આશા રાખુ કે તમે કંટાળતા નહી હો મારાથી.પણ આજે હું એક એવા ગીત ની વાત કરવાનો છુ કે જે હજીય આપણી જીભે રમે છે 1962માં મહેબુબ ખાનની એક ફીલ્મ આવી હતી સન ઓફ ઇન્ડીયા હા એજ મહેબુબખાન જેમણે મધર ઇન્ડીયા બનાવી હતી એ ફીલ્મનું એક ગીત નન્હા મુન્હા રાહી હું દેશ કા સીપાહી હું બોલો મેરે સંગ જયહીન્દ જયહીન્દ ઘણુજ પ્રસીધ્ધ થયેલું . આ ગીત શાંતી માથુર નામની ગાયીકા એ ગાયું છે .આ ગાયીકા નું પછી એક પણ ગીત આવ્યું નથી હા સન ઓફ ઇન્ડીયામાં બીજા ગીત હતા પણ આ ગીત તેમનું એક માત્ર મશહુર ગીત છે.હવે આપણે એમ પણ કહી નથી શકતા કે આ ગીતે તેમના નામને ચાર ચાંદ લગાવી દીધા.

સ્વ્.હેમુ ગઢવી ગુજરાતી લોકસંગીતનો પ્રખર સુરજ લોકસંગીત જેના ઉલ્લેખ વગર અધુરું ગણાય એવા હેમુ ગઢવીના કેટલા ગીતો ગુજરાત પાસે છે વર્ષોથી રેડીયો કેસેટ સી.ડી. વગેરે માધ્યમમાં તલાશ કરીયે તો મુશ્કેલ થી 8-10 ગીતો મળે છે શું એટલા જ ગીતો ગાયા હશે એ મહાન ગાયકે ના પણ આપણી સજ્જતા ઓછી પડી કે આપણે આટલાજ મોતી સાચવી શક્યા .આવું જ ઇસ્માઇલભાઇ વાલેરા માટે કહી શકાય કવી દાદને રચના અને ઇસ્માઇલભાઇનો અવાઝ અને એ ગીત છે કાળજા કેરો કટકો મારો આ ત્રણ ભેગા થાય તો એવો ભાગ્યેજ દીકરી નો બાપ હશે જે ખળભળી ન ઉઠે પણ એમના પણ કેટલા ગીતો સાચવી શક્યા ગણ્યાગાંઠ્યા હરીશ ભટ્ટ જે વોઇસ ઓફ સાયગલ ગણાતા ક્યાં છે એમના ગીત અને લોકસંગીત એ પરમ પુજ્ય પીતશ્રીનુ ખેતર હોય એમ ઘણાએ પોતાની ધોરાજી હાંકી છે અરે એટલે સુધી કે અવીનાશભાઇના ઘણા ગીતોને લોકસંગીત માં ખપાવનારા પણ અહી છે. રી મીક્સ્અ ઘણું થાય છે આશ્વાસન એ લેવુ કે અસલ નહી તો નકલ તો છે યાદ આવે છે બે વાત બે દીગ્ગજોની પરેશ રાવલ અને ચન્દ્રકાંત બક્ષીની એક કાર્યક્રમ થયો હતો મુંબઇમાં ભવન નાટ્યગૃહમાં પરેશ રાવલ સાથે એક સાંજ એમાં આ કલાકારે હૈયાવરાળ કાઢતાં કહ્યું હતું આપણે તાળી પાડીને બેસી જઇએ છીએ કશુંજ નક્કર કરતા નથી ક્યાં છે પ્રવીણ જોશીની આરકાઇવ્ઝ નવો કલાકાર પ્રવીણ જોશી વીષે જાણવા ઇચ્છતો હોય તો ક્યાં જાય આપણે કશુંજ સાચવી રાખવા માંગતા નથી અને ચન્દ્રકાંત બક્ષી એ કહ્યું આપણે કશુંજ નોંધી રાખતા નથી નોંધપોથીની પ્રથાજ  આપણામાં નથી ઘણા પસંગોના આપણે સાક્ષી બનતા હોઇએ છીએ પણ તવારીખમાં આપણું પ્રદાન નહીવત છે

આ યાદ કરવાનો આશય એટલોજ કે આપણે સાચવી રાખવાની બાબતે ઉદાસીન છીએ આજ અફસોસ થાય છે કે એ સમયે મારી પાસે કાશ એક ટેપ રેકર્ડર હોત્

ગુજરાતી સુગમસંગીત નો ચાહક અને ભાવક છું એથી આ લેખ લખવા પ્રેરાયો છુ કે ક્યાંક કોઇક પાસે જુના ગીતો હોય તો આગળ આવે અને એ ગીતો ને ઉજાગર કરે આકાશવાણી મુંબઇ વર્ષ 1969-70 થી નીયમીત રુપે સાંભળવાનુ શરું કર્યું આ માસ નું ગીત સુગમસંગીત વગેરે શીર્ષક હેઠળ આવતા કાર્યક્રમો માં ઘણાજ સુંદર અને મધુર ગીત આવતા હેમુ ગઢવી દીના ગાંધર્વ બી.કમલેશ કુમારી સુધા મલ્હોત્રા આનંદ કુમાર સી. પુરુષોત્તમ ઉપાધ્યાય હંસા દવે દીલીપ ધોળકીયા અજીત મર્ચંટ કૌમુદી મુનશી રાજુલ મહેતા હરીશ ભટ્ટ મન્ના ડે મહમદ રફી લતા મંગેશકર ગીતા દત્ત હેમંત કુમાર  યેસુ દાસ ભુપેન્દ્ર શુભા ગર્ટુ શોભા જોશી બેગમ અખ્તર મનહર કેટ્કેટલાય ગાયકોથી સમૃધ્ધ હતા એ કાર્યક્રમો હજીય કેટલાય નામો સ્મૃતી માંથી ઉછળી ઉછળી બહાર આવવા મથે છે જેમ  કે જગજીત સીંગ રાજેન્દ્ર મહેતા નીના મહેતા કમલ બારોટ પણ સવાલ એમને યાદ કરવાનો નથી સવાલ છે એમણે ગાયેલાં અસંખ્ય ગીતો જે અતીત માં  દફન છે શું કોઇ માર્ગ છે એ ગીતોને હા હું ફરી કહું છું એ જ ગીતો રી મીક્સ નહી ને ફરી ને પ્રસ્થાપીત કરવાનો રણકાર ની સાઇટ પર એક વાચકે પણ આજ પ્રશ્ન પુછ્યો છે કે છે કોઇ માર્ગ આભાર ધનંજય ભાઇનો જેમણે આકાશવાણી ની યાદ તાજી કરાવી અને આભાર રણકારનો અને ટહુકાનો કે આ બાબતમાં તેઓ કંઇક કરી રહ્યા છે

ફરી એક વાર ફીલ્મ જગતનો અતીત ઉલેચીયે

દોસ્તો જો હું તમને સંગીતકાર રામલાલ વીષે પુછું તો શક્ય છે ઘણાને એ નામ અપરીચીત લાગશે પણ જો હું તમને સહેરા નુ ગીત પંખ હોતી તો ઉડ આતી મૈં યાદ અપાવું તો આપ અવશ્ય સંમત થશો કે અદભુત ગીત છે .50 વર્ષ પહેલા એકો ઇફેક્ટ નું અફલાતુન સંયોજન આજ સંગીતકારનું છે.સંગીતકાર રામલાલની બહુ ગણીગાંઠી ફીલ્મો આવી મને બે યાદ આવે છે અને બન્નેના ગીતો સરસ હતા 1)સહેરા 2)ગીત ગાયા પથ્થરો ને અને ગીતો યાદ કરીયે

1)પંખ હોતીતો ઉડ આતી મૈં

My friend lives in Deccan … One day he went to University Road to
visit
his
uncle for some days as his parents had to attend a wedding in Lonavla.
One
evening he and some other of my college friends went to Adlabs for a
movie.
He had so much fun that he forgot that it’s very late.
He caught the last PMT to University Road ….. he reached University
Road
around midnight…… He had to walk about a mile from the bus stop to
home…. As he was walking alone, he could sense that the night felt
very
creepy as it was so dark. While walking, he was astonished to see an
old
weird-looking guy selling some books. It was a very unusual thing to
see a
thing like that…..

It got the shivers ! on him when he noticed that his
old guy was unusually pale and staring at him… The old guy said “Son
why
don’t you buy a book…it would keep you company”.

Then my friend did something which he would regret for the rest of
his
life. My friend started to act brave & thought why not & had a look at
his
collections…
My friend’s hair started to stand on end as he noticed that all the
books
were related to supernatural activities…but he found one that was
very
interesting.

So he asked the old man “how much is it, uncle?”
The old guy replied, “Well son…this is an interesting book…it’s
only
for
Rs 250.

My friend was shocked and said “but…but… it’s expensive”

This time the old man stared which freaked my friend.
My friend did not want to cross this scary old man, so he quickly
checked
all his pockets & found Rs.200 & said

“This is all I have.” The old guy replied “It’s OK son… you can have
the
book for that price”

As my friend was just about to run for home…the old man called back
&
said
“Son … whatever happens, don’t ever flip the book to it’s last
page…
remember these words or you will regret…!!!!!”

My friend nodded and never looked back … Reaching home…he quickly
asked
his Uncle whether there was any new old book seller nearby?
The Uncle replied ” I haven’t seen him but ….we’ve heard that
there’s 1
old man who comes once in a while during full moon nights but heard
that
there is something creepy about it…why son?”

My friend freaked out… he told his uncle “nothing uncle… just
asking”.
He started reading the book with the old man’s parting words on his
mind…
At night, 2 o’clock, as he went to bed, a gush of wind blew which
chilled
him up to his bones. At that point, he noticed the wind had
blown th e pages to its last page. He remembered what the old man has
said!
But we humans tend to have the tendency to know. Out of curiosity, he
flipped to the last page & fainted… What he saw at the last page
is stated below:
